The decay is an illness that affects all of the tooth structure because of the bacteria present on the plaque. When the teeth are not correctly brushed, there are bacteria´s joined to the teeth surface and these bacteria´s start to demineralize and destroy the teeth. When this illness is not treated on time, the decay develops to deep tissues affecting the dental pulp.
Which factors produce decays?
The main reason to suffer from a decay is the plaque over the teeth surface either for not brushing the teeth or brushing the teeth incorrectly. Also, dental crowding makes brushing difficult. Another reason for decays is eating too much sugar or patients that takes too many medicines as this reduce the saliva production.
What is the treatment for a cavity?
The treatment is a very simple procedure and is the most common treatment done daily at the clinic. Consist of cleaning the dental tissue affected and replace it for a white composite filling.
